«Min far ville så gjerne at jeg skulle portretteres. Han kontaktet derfor min onkel som skulle male meg. Jeg tok trikken fra Ullevål Skole til Holbergs plass der min onkel hadde atlier og bodde sammen med min tante og mine to kusiner. Jeg synes egentlig det var litt flaut å skulle bli malt, så jeg fortalte ingenting til mine venninner. I atlieret måtte jeg sitte lenge på en stol, men jeg fikk noen pauser der jeg kunne leke med mine to kusiner. Portrettet av meg hang i vår stue hjemme på Blinderen. Min onkel var også på slottet og malte flere portretter av kong Haakon.»

Physiotherapist

“My father really wanted my portrait painted. So he
contacted my uncle who was going to paint me. I took the tram from
Ullevål School to Holbergs Square where my uncle had a studio
and lived with my aunt and two cousins.
I think it was a bit embarrassing to be painted, so I
didn’t tell my friends about it. In the studio I had to
sit on a chair for a long time, but I did get a few breaks during
which I could play with my two cousins.
The portrait of me in hanging in our living room at home in Blinderen. My
uncle was also at the palace and painted several portraits of King
Haakon. “
